JChillin in Greece

I had a chance to catch up via Skype with Josh Childress. The former college All-American and 6th man for the Atlanta Hawks, Josh signed an unprecedented 3-year deal with the Greece club, Olympiacos in 2008. Josh is now in his 2nd season overseas and he spoke about his experiences both on and off the court while playing ball in Greece. http://www.yodio.com/Yo.aspx?CardId=2Ivu0KGgqL6QY0ofuhD9XH

My life has always been consumed by sports, especially basketball. As a former Division 1 player, I was engrained in the sport. Now that I'm "retired" I find myself still watching as much ball as I did back in my college years. I absolutely love the game, for the opportunities its presented me in life and teaching me lessons that are not always found in a classroom. With that being said, my favorite time of the year has to be the college basketball season. There's always a handful of players that you find yourself cheering for a little harder, maybe because of their scoring ability, defense or their intangibles; but what about when the season ends and the banners are hung? This blog is an opportunity for me to try and catch up with as many former college stars that are still playing the game they love, just overseas.
